* Overview
The Pohang Plant is the biggest steel pipe manufacturing plant in Korea, equipped with the production capacity of about 1,140,000 tons of various types of steel pipes. The plant can turn out virtually any product related to steel pipe, ranging from stainless steel pipes, conduit pipe, structural pipes, oil country tubular goods, spiral welding steel pipes to steel pipe processing products (e.g. pipe scaffoldings, guard rails, etc.). Its products can meet any size requirement from 1/2" to 104", and can customize the diameter and wall thickness according to customers’ specifications, using the SRM (Stretch Reducing Mill), which cannot be found anywhere else in Korea but at the Pohang Plant of SeAH Steel Corp.

The Pohang Plant was certified for ISO 9001 in 1994 for the first time in Korea as a steel pipe company, being followed by ISO 14001 for EMS (Environment Management System) in 1997. It will continue to endeavor to develop new steel pipe products that satisfy customer needs, in conjunction with the Technical Research Center located inside the plant premise. The plant is determined to stay ahead of the market through the implementation of its Plant Innovation Task Force Team Activities to drastically improve plant productivity and product quality.
