- SeAH has been an active advocate
to various cultural and arts organizations
such as the National Opera Company of
Korea and Festival Ensemble, a chamber
orchestra. Through our sponsorship on
¡®Le Marriage de Figaro¡¯, ¡®Manon Lescaut¡¯,
¡®War and Peace¡¯ and other chamber concerts,
we have been well known for our love
and interest in the arts. This made
Chairman Woon-hyung Lee of SeAH Steel
Corp. the first president of the National
Opera Company of Korea in 2000, when
it was spun off from the National Theater
of Korea to become a foundation. As
the president of the National Arts Group
of Korea, he champions the cause of
creating interchanges between companies
and cultural and arts organizations.
